Community organizing provides a powerful set of tools and processes that unlock the potential of our organizations and local communities to build relationships, develop leaders, and address issues that matter to their members.
- Join together with leaders from diverse member institutions to develop leadership skills for community action. Reflect on your role in public life and how to make social change.
- Learn to conduct effective one-on-one and small group conversations.
- Establish a strategy for recruiting leaders and building a team in your own institution.
This 9-hour training runs from 7:00 pm -9:30 pm on Friday evening and 9:00 am - 4:00 pm on Saturday
This training will build on skills developed in the Foundations of Community Organizing training, but is designed so that no prior training in community organizing is required.
