CPS Action Training

This one-hour training offers a brief history of the police service in Canada and its difficult relationship with Indigenous peoples followed by an explanation of the current goals of the Calgary Alliance Action as we call the Calgary Police Service (CPS) to fulfil their commitments to Truth and Reconciliation. Responding to the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2 Spirit Report (2019), we are calling on the CPS to create Indigenous Liaison Officer positions in each district of the city. The CPS have committed to making core investments in this act of reconciliation and must follow through for the betterment of the city.
