Mental Health Strategy Passes

This morning, city council passed the Mental Health and Addictions Strategy.

Last week we took action by asking our city councillors to pass the Mental Health strategy at committee. Today it has now passed at council and will begin to be implemented across the city.

This programming was threatened with cuts in July of 2019. We took action then, too, to stop those cuts to the most vulnerable in our city.

The strategy document is the culmination of more than two years of work: from the Keep Calgary Strong campaign to engaging with city hall over the last year and a half on mental health, and advocacy by members like you.

The next item on the docket is our delegate assembly, where we are looking at the year behind us and what's ahead.
