November 21st, 2022
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Calgarians gather to take action for a better budget.
Calgary, AB - Please join us for a gathering of Calgarians on Tuesday, November 22nd at noon in front of council chambers. Members of the Calgary Alliance for the Common Good will be gathering for noon, wearing their bright green scarves and entering into chambers at 1:00 PM.
There will be an opportunity for photos at (roughly) 12:20 PM.
We have been meeting with councillors these past few months and engaging with this new council since the election last fall. You can view our previous efforts in our newsletter (highlighted here) and with our recently held Action Assembly (you can view it on our YouTube account here).
As an Alliance, we have a variety of items that we have raised with our elected officials – from the work to fulfill the Missing Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls Report on reforming the Calgary Police Service, to the ongoing efforts on making our city climate resilient, and community well-being coming out of Covid-19 around mental and community health.
