On May 26, Calgary City Council will debate and vote on Safer Together: A Community Wellbeing and Safety Strategy for the City's for Calgary
Over the past months, members of the Calgary Alliance for the Common Good Mental Health Team have held listening sessions across our communities to hear directly from people affected by gaps in mental health care, housing instability, isolation, addiction, and the growing pressure on community services.
Many of these stories, concerns, and community-led solutions were brought forward by Alliance members during the May 6 City Council hearing. Now, we invite Alliance members, friends, families, and supporters to join us at City Hall as the Council discusses the budget decisions connected to these priorities.
By showing up together, we can demonstrate broad community support for meaningful investment in mental health, community wellness, and the common good of all Calgarians.
We encourage attendees to wear green clothing and/or scarves or shawls as a visible sign of support and solidarity.
