How can we be equipped to better respond to the mental health challenges in our communities? This training will provide skills people need.
The Calgary Alliance for the Common Good is exploring how we can equip our members to better respond to the Mental Helth Challenges of our Communities. We are trialing two mental health training programs. The first one we are trying is the Community Helpers Program provided by Alberta Health Services. This training focuses on understanding mental health, how we can respond to people with mental health challenges and focuses on some of the key soft skills.
At the end of February, we will also trial the Mental Health First Aid course which has more of a focus on the clinical aspects of Mental Health support.
