Rally @ City Hall-April 22, 2024

Calgary's Housing Crisis needs many different solutions working together to bring about housing affordability for all. This issue affects Calgarians from all walks of life, from students tp those on a fixed income, and Calgarians starting their life in our communities and neighborhoods.

We believe one of the needed steps is to support the proposed rezoning across Calgary to allow for greater density in our neighborhoods (also a climate friendly idea!) and to unlock federal grant dollars to build non-market housing. For an in-depth backgrounder on why we are supporting this issue, click here

Please join us for a gathering of Calgarians on the front steps of City Hall during the lunch hour on April 22nd. This is the day that city councillors are holding a Public Hearing regarding the proposed rezoning, and after which they will either vote to approve or reject it. If it is rejected there is no recourse for action, so we urge you to come out and show your support.

Many members of the Calgary Alliance for the Common Good will be in attendance. This gathering is in partnership with a variety of hosts and organizations that are seized with solving Calgary's issues.

The event starts at 12:15 PM with a press conference. If the weather is awful, we will be gathering just inside, so please join us, rain or shine.

Please RSVP below so that we can include you in activities, advocacy and more.
