We are weaving the fabric of civil society. We build face-to-face relationships across our division. We create teams in which all people from all faiths, races, sexual orientations, communities, and cultures are invited to lead. We foster citizen-led action that strengthens communities and organizations. We strengthen our member organizations because civil society organizations are the backbones of our communities.
We are a people’s university of public life. We teach people the skills of public leadership. We learn together how to bring about real change. We discover the richness of our different traditions and what they teach us about the common good. We are a living seminar on what it means to be a citizen in a democracy. We learn from and mentor each other in how to build strong and resilient communities.
We act together for the common good. We believe that our democratic public life is the most important vehicle for addressing the systemic challenges our communities face. We believe that to be effective, we need to build “Power With” each other. We demonstrate that citizens acting together can address the most pressing challenges that bring about real change.
We work to live out those values through tangible actions. You can read our culture document here.
